Head of Contractors: an Egyptian Palestinian committee has been formed to follow up the electricity crisis in Gaza

Osama Kuhil , the head of Palestinian Contractors, at  Gaza Strip, said that it's been agreed  with the Egyptian part to form an Egyptian-Palestinian special committee to follow up and solve  the  electricity crisis.

He also said: we are inviting the other part in the coming week  to conduct  the trade deals also talk about  developing Rafah port to become commercial port.

He added that the higher Committee, which has been  formed will have another five sub committees, each committee includes five proffesional members who know all details about their work.  Moreover, he  pointed that the five committees will look at the water , electricity, exports and imports, opening the crossing, and the free trade zone files.

In an interview with  ,Al Iqtesadya newspaper, he said ,there is a great  change in the Egyptian policy towards  Gaza Strip, since  it was agreed to form a common  Palestinian- Egyptian committee to carry out what they've discussed , also the higher  Committee was sent to follow up with our Egyptian brothers.

 The sub committee will discuss constructing  a free trade zone between  Gaza Strip and Egypt ,pointing that the recent economic conference in Egypt made full visualization of a complementary relationship in the economy of both countries   Egypt and Palestine. These procedures will be gradually executed including opening Rafah port, free  import and export, activating trade agreements, creating  a free industrial zones, and joint investment.  The Egyptian electricity company that supplies the Gaza Strip with 28 MW for several years, which reduced the electricity crisis in Gaza Strip for many years  since it  reaches each  home eight hours per a day , and the supply stops when the  station does.
